Let's Make Gel Prints: Layered prints using acrylic paint and stencils (For ages 18+)
Thursday, January 236:00—7:30 PMMakerSpaceWaltham Public Library735 Main Street, Waltham, MA, 02451
**Registration is Required**
The magic of gel prints is the imperfection and slight unpredictability of it. Using a gel plate you make an impression of your chosen shapes on a light layer of acrylic paint, and then transfer what's remaining onto a piece of paper. You can put multiple layers on top of each other to create complex abstract images, use multiple colors, or keep it simple. The gel print process is the most fun when treated like a science experiment with color and shapes etc! If you make layered images, the final image will have the most recent layer on the top, so if you're planning something in advance you need to think backwards (and remember it will be mirrored). It's a fun mental exercise, even if your goal isn't to have something "wall-worthy" at the end.
All materials will be provided.
